As a medical student on second semester I can surely use your nice videos as a supplement for my microscopy reading :-)

You Thank you very much ;)

Yes, I too was told by my professor that they are arranged in rows, but I’ve never actually SEEN that. They are so sparse, like WD says, so I don’t see how anyone could make out any rows. It’s those types of confusing descriptions that make you think histology is hard, but when you actually get a feel for it and find your own way to identify structures it actually isn’t that bad! Thanks again for these vids!

chondrocytes in the articular joint are aligned in columns as they are in during embryonic limb growth. Fibrocartilagenous chondrocytes may align although only through areas of stress, at the enthesis, fibroblasts in fibrocartilage do align and do so the orientation of collagen fibrils.

  7. WashingtonDeceit says:

i do not think so, because the chondrocytes in fibrocartilage are much sparser than in the other 2 types

  8. supermariofj says:

also, aren’t the chondrocytes in fibrocartilage arranged in rows?
